UPD: the word was unblocked. But still neither explanation nor apologies. CF admins, are you sure that you want to ignore 150+ members of the community?
Hi guys!
I was looking for CF bugs (look at my blog — it's my hobby) and found that it is impossible to search word "gay" at CodeForces! This word is surely blocked for searching!!! I think it is such a shame in XXI century to be homophobic!!!
Hope admins will be wise enough to bring their apologies to whole mankind. If they really regret they should also rainbow their logo or rename to GayForces or hold a Pride Round or something like that. VOTE UP IF YOU AGREE!!
Anyway I am really touched with this flagrant issue and can't continue using CF anymore. Goodbye!
Love wins,
M.
P.S. seriously what difference does it make?
P.S.2. Just unblock the damn world if somebody actually cares
P.S.3. It's just a word
Also what is the up with the pink hat and the red tank top, honey are you colorblind?
The Russian version illustrates the purple hat :D
I guess I made a reference that nobody on codeforces understands :(
Perhaps we can start a class action in some US court, to get some rainbow, gay pride $$$ + media attention?
Obviously I also feel affected as my nickname is purple.
When I heard about the Orlando shooting, I thought: "Ok, not a big deal". But this... this it's just TERRIBLE. I'm praying for you and all the gay community.
Fun fact: you can't search the word "nigga" but you can do it with the word "nigger" (which is the offensive one). Codeforces: you are doing it wrong.
Lol, try to switch to russian.
Think about minors
What do want from word "Gay" in codeforces ? (pachal hamjens baz)
UPD : By reading the russian and English version of your Post , I found out you are a Liar Gay :|
Not sure if the up votes are for the English or the Russian version :D
No one cares
lol
The Likes are for Russian version which contain a different content !!
this man is deceitful :3 .
What does it say in the Russian version?
It says that once he posted that if you can't become purple with one year training, you are just wasting your time on competitive programming (It's his opinion not mine :D)
Back then many people argued that you can't become purple with only one year training, so he made a bet that he will become purple during one year (which he managed to do in less than a year at the last round).
So he posted to show people that it's possible to become purple in one year if you trained really hard. That's why his post has so many upvotes :D
The post was posted at midnight in Russia, when most Russian-speakers were sleeping. In the morning it have already had >150 upvotes so it's pretty obvious which part was upvoted more.
maybe you are right. I based my conclusion on the fact that there are many people who commented to support gay community. I don't see any of them getting as much upvotes as he did :D
Don't understand how the word 'gay' is related to Codeforces !!
বিকজ গ্যাঞ্জাইম্মা পাবলিক ইজ এভ্রিহয়্যার
That is another thing I don't understand :P
So no one can search my handle? :S
"Gay" != "ImAlsoGay"
Last week I wrote a blog on how to begin with 2D segment trees. It was downvoted and were given lots of negative comments. I don't understand why so many upvotes for this post. My blog would have at least helped the beginners. -_-
hypocrites my boy.
because you can find by yourself this information on google, and btw you don't need segment tree, learn to solve A-C problems now.
Why can't I learn new stuffs while practicing for A-C ? By the way, I was trying to solve this problem https://www.codechef.com/JUNE16/problems/CHSQARR of Codechef's June16 Long challenge. I thought 2D segment trees might help. I am still stuck at this. It would be appreciated if you would help. :D
You don't need a 2D segment tree for this problem, 2D RMQ is enough.
2D RMQ short idea: RMQ[len_x][len_y][x][y] — the answer for the rectangle with left corner in (x,y) and lengths 2^len_x 2^len_y respectively
Some of these A-C are easier/faster to solve with fenwick/segment_tree and some other "advanced" data structures
Also having more tools in my toolkit is always a plus as long as I put them into good use
Ok,give me at least 3 problems A-C where the expected solution uses segment tree(i mean you can't solve it without them),and also give me at least one problem A-C with "advanced" data structures.
I don't want to ofend anyone this is just my advice.
Check segment tree: A2OJ
That is rude! One doesn't need to be purple to understand new data structure. If he can grasp the idea by asking help, they he should do that. And it's not your concern why he needs to learn that.
I see you don't get the point, there's no need to learn all the well-known algorithms, one needs to learn how to think. Learning new data structures or any other standard algorithms is a waste of time in most of the cases, for example I never implemented 2D segment tree, there's no real point in them, just a bunch of code and whoever will put in a contest this kind of task will require just a bunch of code and no idea at all. Let anybody learn what they want to learn, I don't care too much about it anyway, I didn't say they won't understand it, I just gave an advice to newbie which can be found anywhere else...
look at his old blogs , this guy is good at shitposting
