The onsite events of CODE FESTIVAL 2016 will start soon. I'll keep posting commentaries here. All times written here are Japanese Standard Time, which is UTC+9 or Moscow Time + 6.

[25th, Friday 21:25]

As the name of the contest may suggest, there are lots of events, including five contests:

  • CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Final

  • CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Exhibition

  • CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Elimination Tournament (3 rounds)

  • CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Relay

  • CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Grand Final

Some events are even overlapping so you have to choose one of them.

For those who can't attend the onsite events, there will be open contests. Please check the details at https://atcoder.jp/post/58 (here times are also written in JST). The Finals will start at Saturday 12:30, UTC+9.

[26th, Saturday 16:19]

Final Standings: https://cf16-final.contest.atcoder.jp/standings

The winner of Final is tourist. Congratulations!

The winner of Grand Final is W4yneb0t. Congratulations!

Some events are even overlapping so you have to choose one of them.

If I didn't calculate wrongly, none of the events overlap with each other, so it's possible to join all :)

Contests are disjoint. Some other events like talks, board games, etc. are overlapping.

I see. Could you explain the difference between Final, Exhibition, Elimination 1 — 3, Relay and Grand Final (especially the fact that there're two finals and elimination after finals). Are there two seperate events?

I think detailed rules of those contests will be announced during the event. If you participate in open contests, you can see them as five distinct contests.

What is the difference between final and grand final? Why only the first one will be rated?

And do we have a list of contestants and which contest they will compete? Do we have live stream?

Is the CODE FESTIVAL 2016 Final (Parallel) contest rated? I see that the non — parallel version is rated, but nowhere does it say anything about the Parallel round.

    I think it's rated.

UPD : I just saw the comment of chokudai (who according to his atcoder profile is the Atcoder CEO), which says that the Finals is rated for all, and the Grand Finals is only rated for the particiapnts, but we can watch streaming.

So, the answer to your question is :

Three teams will compete, each team consists of three members and a computer.

    • Top 3 foreign people
    • Top 3 Japanese people
    • Organizers' team
