Hello CF, if you read my first post, you know me ;) . Lets see who "cheated".
I was looking standings of Codeforces Round #396 (Div. 2), then I saw interesting one, someone unrated solved just last problem. S/he solved problem in 1:19, so s/he had time to solve at least problem A. I guess that it's someone's fake account to check s/his solution.
See our fake account's submission here. Good, he managed to solve problem E.
Lets see who cheated, I saw him on comments many times, he is Whistle! YES! You can see him on standings here.
Lets look their submissions, this is Whistle's submission, and this is fake accounts. Same solution, but place of functions, names of some variables, arrays changed. Same things in functions. Like cheaters in my last post...
Sorry for poor English.
I apologize to CF community
for me I swear I'm not gonna cheat again
but what about other people ??
ton of my friends cheat in every round they take and not only test their solution in another fake account, just to escape from the possibility that their solution is wrong, they also share their solution with each other
should I make a "CheatReporter" account and report everyone of them ?
I'm not trying to correct my position because what I did is clearly very wrong and it can't be corrected
sorry again and as I said I will never do that again
thanks, it was a good lesson
you solve the hardest problem. how dare you, you bastard!
maybe users who insult other users and say obscene words should be banned ?
bastard is not an obscene word. and he's joking
Point out some accounts. I'm sure they'll swear not to cheat again, too.
I think that your account should be removed, so that you start in div2 again.
Not only were you escaping from the possibility that your solution is wrong. You would not have submitted anything from your real account unless the hardest solution had passed. This way you increased your chances for a successful contest a lot.
It is always assumed that some shit will happen in div 2, but we should not let it pass to div1.
Thanks
yeah that's what I meant when I said " escape from the possibility that their solution is wrong"
and that's was my plan, submitting my solution in my fake account then if I got it pretest passed then I will submit it in my real account and by this I can be sure that my rating will always rise up
I agree with you that cheaters (including me) should be punished but not by removing their accounts
I mean there is a lot of ways that cheaters could be punished(like ban them from participating in CF rounds for a month or give them the least place in the round and then their rating will dramatically fall) but not by removing their accounts
also my way of cheating is nothing compared to the people who share their solutions with each other or to div1 users who make fake accounts and participate in div2 rounds
I think mike should take strong measures against cheaters not just skip their submissions and make the round unrated to them but of course not by removing their accounts
Actually I agree with you that your account should not be banned. They should just reset all your previous participation, and keep an eye on you in the future.
Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know!
The account I_LOVE_GH is banned.
Thank you CheaterKiller. Hope the CF cheat-checking system will be better with your blogs.
I wonder how you came to the conclusion that the owner of the fake account is Whistle (brute forcing every E code seems unreasonable).
Similar runtime, memory consumption, source code size from the submissions of E.
but what about other people ??
Hello again Codeforces, I read all of comments, especially Whistle's. Yes, I also see many cheaters in contests, but 70% of them are pupil/newbie and they solving just problem A and B. You are feeling sad when people cheated and got more score than you, but you are learning from contests, they don't. After many contests you will see that you can solve more problems and got higher score than cheaters. I think cheaters will not learn and rank up till end of their life.
Don't cheat in contests, learn from them and always read tutorials...
Sorry for poor English.
CheaterKiller
Whistle ? The problem setter of 2 problems of ACM ECPC 2016 ! Shame man :(
It was one of the most underprepared contests I have seen with sh!t quality.
Why are you surprised?
That doesn't make it right to cheat......
nobody said that !
He did wrong work but how much is important rating?
Rating is not related a lot to how much strong you are.
Just try to learn and skip people like this.
