If you are 14+ and want your ideas to be implemented in new technologies and products, which being used by 1/3 of global population, participate in our Marathon started recently https://it-edu.mipt.ru/en/huawei-codecraft-marathon
Task can be downloaded after registration, see links below: John has a digital camera. He usually takes two photos, first photo is bad quality and blurred, second has good quality, but his hands shaked, and the second photo has moved compared to the first one. Help John to restore first(blurred) photo position, considering that the movement was in the same plane.
Solution: We highly encourage participants to use neural network based approaches for solving this task. You can download 30 samples from checker in txt format. Data generation for neural network training is one of the main point in our task. Converter from/to graphic format is also part of this task.
Registration can be done by captain. The team can consist from 1 to 3 team members: https://it-edu.mipt.ru/el/mod/apply/view.php?id=60 Checker http://huawei.it-edu.mipt.ru/marathon1 Rules https://it-edu.mipt.ru/en/huawei-codecraft-marathon/rules
Submission deadline is 2017 December 1, 23:59:59 Moscow time. Results will be announced on December 3 during the closing ceremony of 1/2 NEERC ACM ICPC 2017 at ITMO.
@stake are 9 internship certificates, 9 smartphones, several tours to HQ
华为
Round should be unrated because of long queue. :(
Wrong blog!
Is it open to everyone? Where can I find timeline? When does it start? When is a submission deadline?
If you propose marathon with image processing task, why don't include some image samples into announcement? Also, I was hoping to see some examples in the official statement, so I filled two forms to register. And after that ... I see single small example with size 2cm X 2cm. Cool. Last hope: the tab with "samples.zip" downloading. Okay, started download, "wow, 185mb, there should be a lot of images" — I thought. Opened... yeah, 30 samples in .txt format -_-
You know, the two sentences in the statement are not enough to understand the problem, since the nature of the images, the strength of the blur and the movement are very important.
And, btw, nobody will train neural networks on 30 samples =)
Good point. But for training neural network you can generate more samples by adding some random noise to the samples.
Well, the open samples are in the same format which is used in the problem. You may convert them into any graphical format you want to.
I may, and it takes a couple of minutes with opencv. But still...
Also, there is nothing in statement about such artifacts in rotated images.
You wrote 'such artifacts'
What kind of artifacts you mean?
Black sky. It looks like strange overflow of uchar value at rotation...
More examples here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XWO8cCpDk3tkkZnd0oim5houWOnyT2h7
Do you need help in rotating images? It has been three days but nothing has changed (as far as we can see).
pictures were updated, all results submitted before tested again
China Huawei, to the world!
'Marathon' match, but only one week for us to invent new solutions? Seems pretty short.
When do i get to design phones? Please send me the proposal forms for it. I have designed some phones and i need some company to build them for me.
three-month internship at Huawei Research Centres (@Msc or @Spb) with compensation of 100,000 RUB per month before income tax deduction
So you want someone who is very good at neural networks to work for $1700/month before tax? I didn't know software engineering in Russia was in such a bad state. Or maybe it is the opposite if good specialists are so cheap.
Some of the participants will get 9 Huawei smartphones P10+ for testing and later they will be asked to fill in a feedback form.
Why would someone need 9 smartphones? :)
the money we mentioned is for students, for experienced candidate we can discuss based on his request nad HW practice. As for smartphone we may give 1 smartphone to 1 person not 9 to 1
Why "Scheduled end time" of the marathon on http://huawei.it-edu.mipt.ru is 2017/11/29 16:20:48, whilst it is stated that "Submission deadline is 2017 December 1, 23:59:59"?
Deadline on the checker is synhronized with announcement
Looks like at least the last 6 hours of contest grader had problems linking OpenCV for C++ solutions even for those that had no OpenCV includes (I've submitted a clarification with details). Was it intended for use? Will the solutions be rejudged?
Can we get one Huawei for free? :)
