Don’t know how to compete in Topcoder SRMs?
Check out this guide to know how to compete in an SRM.
You can compete using:
Topcoder Web Arena(Beta) — Please watch this video for step by step guide.
Topcoder Java Applet — You can refer to this guide here to set up the applet. (Note that those who have Java 8 installed on their machine will see a security issue — You will have to add Topcoder in security exceptions in Java Control Panel. Please refer to the details in the guide here)
All the best!
Very good to see "visually good" TCO Algorithm schedule :)
By the way, has bye (people who has top 250 ratings) already announced?
Byes will be announced today at 12:00 UTC-4
And the list is out early this time :) https://tco18.topcoder.com/algorithm/byes/
Congratulations to all those who won a Bye! :)
Very thanks :P
TCO rules say: Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the Championship Round. Winner must be present at the onsite Awards Presentation to receive prize. Does it applies to T-shirts?
That’s for cash prizes. T-shirts will be shipped :)
Oh, cool, thanks :)
Cries in 2152.
Yeah, this is way higher than the previous year, perhaps because they decided to include 2018 and 2017 participants this time, instead of only the people who competed this year, as previously.
Reminder: This contest starts in about 3 hours! You can register now (don't forget to register before 5-mins before the contest)
The rules are not still fully aware that there are only two Round 1 competitions:
Here, 2,250 is from the previous year, when there were three Round 1 competitions instead of two.
Sorry! This should be 1750. Fixing this! The last place where we missed changing this :)
There is a parallel/fun round for those that aren't eligible (or already got a bye) for this round
As there were less than 750 participants, then will those who submitted but failed systest(got zero score overall) qualify for the next round?
You need a score > 0 to qualify
Will it be considered as a rated round?
Yes, my rating was just updated, so it was a rated round.
