Is this a normal TCO round and everyone can take part online?
The TCO round is open only to members who are present at the event, but there will be a rated online mirror of the round open to everybody.
This round is for members onsite. Top 10 competing from this round will get a chance to compete in a wildcard round in which all the members from others regional rounds will compete. Top 2 from that wildcard round will directly compete in the finals.
However, if you are not present onsite — this year we will be having Parallel Fun Rated Matches with all the TCO Rounds — be it advancement rounds or be it regional rounds. So if you are not onsite at the regionals you can compete in the Parallel Fun Rated Match of TCO18 Warsaw Regionals.
Can we expect harder problem than year ago :)? Easier problems on regionals are somewhat understandable, but if this trend is going to be maintained then I think that making this and parallel round rated (or at least parallel round) is questionable.
Sure, We will try and have mixed problems for this match. The idea behind making parallel rounds rated — is to have more rated contests for members. But yes agree to your point of maintaining difficulty for rated contests.
Reminder: the contest starts in less than 100 minutes!
