I honestly don't know how this change actually affects to our rates. Hopefully we'll see after a few more rounds!
Main observation from this infographic: many purple users actually perform worse that they should, according to their rating. From that we can conclude that after div2 bound change, users, which will perform good at div2 contest, would get bigger rating income than they got before, because of rating points, which would be lost by part of purple users, who will perform badly. If rating calculation formulas are correct, this issue shouldn't cause rating inflation.
