Due to COVID-2019 breakout, we weren't able to give a farewell to the Batch of 2020. But, through this contest, we have tried our best to create creative and entertaining problems to give a virtual farewell to the Batch of 2020.
We feel pleasure to invite you to the IIT (ISM) Virtual Farewell . The contest will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 21:00 (IST). Registrations for the contest have begun. You can register for the contest here.
There will be a total 10 problems, in increasing order of difficulty and you would have 3 hours to solve them.
The theme of all the problems will be the campus life of IIT (ISM). The contest consists of questions of all difficulty levels so that students from all years can participate. Although the contest is unrated, you would surely enjoy all the problems. We promise that the editorial would be released soon after the contest, so that you also get to learn something from it.
The problems for this contest were prepared by the following $$$2^{nd}$$$ year students of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad — Hypnos, Its_Easy, chefpr7, rath772k, will.earn.you, thenainesh, Sanket_17, ujju_sucks and me. Thank you for the rigorous testing and suggestions.
I also thank MikeMirzayanov for the amazing platforms- Codeforces and Polygon. Special thanks to Sanket_17 for his creative ideas and images for each question. Without you all, it would have been impossible to organise this contest.

PS: The stories in the problems are for fun only. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
Not Rated right?

Thanks to Hypnos for this idea
Thank you _DR_ for creating this account, just for writing this comment. BTW, We wouldn't have said anything, even if you had commented from your original account.
Clashes with SRM
SRM these days are not a big deal I guess because participation is very low.
AlwaysACoder, SRM is on next Sunday 21st June 2020. There is no clash, I suppose.
Sorry you are right, there's some bug in sync with Google Calendar, it shows SRM on that day.
nice!!!
Awesome theme...and thanks!!
All the best to the setters!! Great work guys!
Hope the problems would be short and would not contain too much background stories. Excited for the contest!!!!
Aap bhi Doge sir contest?? Sorry aapke concepts use nahi Kiya hai jyada :-( toh aapko mushkil ho skti hai.... Hope to see you in the leaderboard...
Yes I'll give the contest for sure, and yes make editorials using proper trace of the algorithms used (like the class notes). If possible please mention pseudo codes in the editorials.
And a point to mention sir, codeforces accepts code and not "Pseudo Code". See you on the (hopefully top of) leaderboard.
Yeah, I get to know a little bit of C++ from Mr Dharawath.
thank you mr jana. and dont forget to come to my house today for further lectures.
Looking forward to it. Kudos!
I hope there will be a question based on RD's new token system.
What will be the difficulty range?
The problems will be of all difficulty levels and in increasing order of difficulty from rating around 900 to around 2500.

Honestly, I found the tasks boring. I solved first 6 so I will talk about those only.
B and C were fine for their level. D was a standard problem. E and F were just implementation tasks.
Nevertheless, I appreciate the efforts and thanks for the contest!
Well buddy, sadly u missed the fun parts!! We made the count of problems to 10 so that coders from all colours can try....u should have gone beyond....Nevertheless glad u enjoyed :-)
Well buddy, sadly he would have missed the fun part even if he had started from the end because there was no fun part. Copying problems and adding stories to the statements is not funny.
All the tasks were not aimed for div1 coders. We actually wanted the contest to be more balanced so that no one would leave in between (it happens a lot in unrated contests). If you wanted to challenge yourself honestly you could have started with last 5 questions like many other div1 coders did, those questions actually took a lot of time to prepare. Thanks for your feedback though!!
I should have started from the last tasks..it's my fault probably..thanks for the contest..
Problem J was identical to this problem
Appreciate your work guys...in future I would also want to contribute in such contest somehow...
