IIRC, CF only checks if a user has been mentioned in the contest announcement prior to registration. Thus, a tester who was only mentioned in an update could have registered previously, thus bypassing the system. MikeMirzayanov?

Nope, there is literally nothing in place preventing that. People just assumed testers wouldn't be dumb enough to actually do it.
If people does this with real id, I don't know what would people do if some cheater manages multiple id

I'm so sorry. I still can register, so I thought I could still paticipate and I didn't think I'd be involved in ratings before contest. But it doesn't look like it, and it is a mistake. Fair point, but I don't really understand. When testing, did you not solve A? If you did solve it, then why did you solve it again, if your intention was to "solve more problems" (implying solving ones you didn't solve when testing?).

If they want they can reduce that rating from YanickChen and add it to my real account. This will balance rating system ,without causing any damage with least effort .
When you take testing to next level and test the round when it is live.
