How does the TopCoder skills get verified?

I have done 2-3 SRMs, i was able to solve first two problems. But i still don't see any verified skills on my profile, is it some caching issue? How long do people wait to get them?

Do you already have skills selected on your profile?

If you don't, Topcoder won't automatically add them to your profile so you will need to go into your settings > skills, and add them from the list. Then all of the ones which are verified will have the little check with them.

If you already added skills to your list then I'm sorry, I wouldn't know why they aren't showing up.
