Need Help in DP states

I could not get the editorial's dp states and its recurrence relation. I could follow the editorial till O(n*2^n) approach. Can someone help me?

Isn't there anyone who can help me in this problem? The day since I logged in to codeforces I am only getting downvotes. Does it work like this : People who are unable to help, they downvote? I am new to this platform that's why I am asking.
