Today I'd like to introduce the new Competitive Programming Hall of Fame project that is available at cphof.org

Background

A long time ago I've noticed that there is no single source of information with the results of previously held large programming competitions. Moreover, plenty of older championships don't maintain their websites anymore, and it becomes hard or even impossible to find any details about them, which is pretty sad. So I've decided to create Competitive Programming Hall of Fame.

About the project

Competitive Programming Hall Of Fame is a project created to preserve the history of international championships in competitive programming. This website collects the results of the final stages for both worldwide and regional contests. By international championship we mean a contest consisting of several stages available for competitors from more than one country.

The project is mostly focused on worldwide contests that have onsite finals, and on smaller championships with no more than 100 finalists. For each of the participants there is a profile page with a timeline and track record of their performance in various final events.

We divide all championships into 5 categories: Worldwide Onsites (Major Competitions), Worldwide High School and Collegiate Onsites, Worldwide Online Championships, Regional Contests, and Local Contests.

How can you contribute

You can contribute to the Competitive Programming Hall of Fame by providing information that is missing or wrong on the website. Please use either the form at cphof.org/contribute or comments/DM at Codeforces for it.

We will be especially happy if you find and share something from this list:

  • Information about any international competitive programming championship that is missing on the website;
  • Wrong data on the website, duplicate profiles for the same person, or profiles of different people mistakenly merged into one;
  • Wrong name spelling;
  • Team members and prizes for ICPC World Finals 2005 and earlier;
  • Standings (with the number of problems solved and penalty) for ACM-ICPC World Finals 2009, and for 1998 and earlier;
  • Team members for Google Hash Code and Challenge24 (any year).

Many years I dream about Grand Slam in CP and other Majors, 500, 250 and challengers (oh, yes I'm big fan of ATP and WTA).

Hope it's possible to create some kind of year schedule of tournaments (Will we have much early announces?) and some kind of year rolling rating.

    I do understand that IMO is not Competitive Programming, but we can kinda add that as "Other achievements"? I can see that as a category (but, well, I can also imagine it being hard to develop and maintain).

    Also I do think achievements as coaches should be there as well, like ICPC coaches.

      It certaianly makes sense, but current focus is on acheivements as a competitive programmer. I will think about adding info on ICPC coaches a bit later.

How do you see cases when one university devours another one? This happened with mine.

Would be nice to add Marathon24 / Deadline24 / Pizza Contest and similar. I couldn't find the results :(

Also, what about Russian AI Cup, Codingame, ...?

    I'm going to add these contests in the future (to the Local category). And fortunately, I already have most of the results. Except for team members of Challenge24.

    Also, what about Russian AI Cup, Codingame, ...?

      In my case Samara SAU was merged with Samara SU and became Samara NRU. As Samara SU never had any significant results in CP, it can be considered as renaming on this site.

      Such merges were very common in Russian regions about 5 years ago, I remember there was something like a plan to have One Big National Research University in all big regions. I think there are some other universities affected to a greater extent.

In the beginning I was confused that why people downvote comments with nothing wrong, recently i found that only hindi names or people from countries India and near countries are been downvoted and there is no specific reason to that so if you really dont want a fair votes on your comment dont let your identity be disclosed so that you can get a fair voting on comments. If you also have noticed the same you can upvote this comment

My info was wrong. I didn't go to ICPC WF 3 times. ICPC 2014 (in team FPT University) was a different guy with the same name.
