Codechef Username Change

Why I'm writing Blog related to Codechef on Codeforces ??

Ans : Because according to me CP community at Codeforces is much more active and interactive compared to Codechef .

I want to convey this request to Codechef Admin that please do allow to change our Codechef user id once a year like Codeforces does . Its been past 3 years i'm coding on Codechef . I have never seen such initiative. I guess its not only mine , but many Codechef users request also.

Please if you agree with me , do upvote so that this request can reach to many coders and codechefAdmin.

Sorry, this is pretty hard to implement in our architecture. We do have it in our wishlist, but it's unlikely to be taken up in the near future.

username is primary key in Codechef DB schema :P

    let current username be the primary key, just add one more column username2, which should contain the dummy like username shown on our profile. Actually, Codechef can do something if they want, it's just, they don't want to.

There have been no plagiarism checks on Lunchtime, Cook-off, and Long Challenge for nearly two years. How are they going to implement bonus features like this when they can't even get the basics done?

    From januray 2020 , it is first time that codechef caught plagiarism and deleted cheater's profile which happened only for snackdown elimination parallel round on Dec 5.

How to change on Codeforces?

Edit (Because I can't delete): One can change their username every year from Jan 1 to Jan 10.
