Hi everyone!

I'd like to invite you to participate in June Clash on HackerEarth. Contest is scheduled on June, 11. Contest duration is 24 hours, so we hope it will be possible to find comfortable time for everyone in any timezone :) Check your time.

There will be six tasks in a problemset. Five of them are standard algorithmic problems with partial solutions allowed — you get points for every test that your solution passed. And the last task is an approximate problem — your score for this task depends on how good your solution is comparing to current best solution.

PrinceOfPersia has kindly prepared this problemset. Check out his previous Clash contests on HackerEarth and rounds on CodeForces to make sure that it's likely that you will enjoy the problems :)

I worked on this contest as a tester. In our opinion several tasks will be not too hard for beginners (at least one:) ) (show your best with partial scoring — even very naive solution may give you some points; and 24 hours should be enough for you to read all problems and find some tasks which you can solve).

We hope some tasks will be decent challenges for experienced contestants too. But if you think that classic part of problemset is easy — the approximate problem is waiting for you :)

Thanks to belowthebelt for handling all technical aspects of contest preparation.

The problem statements will be provided in English and Russian.

As usual, here is one more reason for you to participate in this contest:

Top5 of leaderboard will grab some nice prizes:

  1. $100 Amazon gift card + HackerEarth T-shirt

  2. $75 Amazon gift card + HackerEarth T-shirt

  3. $50 Amazon gift card + HackerEarth T-shirt

  4. HackerEarth T-shirt

  5. HackerEarth T-shirt

Good luck to everybody and let's have fun :)

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce you about the new contest organised by HackerEarthIndia Hacks 2016!

Just check out the prizes:

There will be 3 qualification rounds with 3 hours duration each. From each qualifier top 1000 participants will advance to the main contest, so the final is going to be a decent battle of 3000 coders.

The first qualification round is taking place on Sunday, January 3, 18.30 Moscow time. View your time here

The problems of the first round were kindly prepared by RomaWhite. As you might already guessed I'm the tester and editorialist. In my opinion this problem set is very nice because it requires more thinking than implementation, but on the other hand most of the problems are not very hard, so it will be a good warm-up for your brain after New Year celebration :)

In order to participate register here.

Important note: this contest has a partial scoring system and all the problems have subtasks. It means that if you don't know how to solve some problem you should try your best to get some partial solution.

Bye-bye and I hope to see you all participating and having fun :)

Hello Codeforces!

November Easy is taking place on November the 1-st at 19:00 MSK. Contest duration is 3 hours.

The contest will consist of 6 problems. Each problem is worth 100 points. Most of them have partial scoring. Ties are resolved by penalty time.

I've decided to experiment a bit, so the format of the contest will slightly differ from the previous ones. There will be:

  • 4 usual algorithm problems of various difficulty. In my opinion they might be interesting for complete beginners as well as for enough experienced participants.

  • 2 problems that differ from usual ACM / IOI tasks.

I'd like to thank all the guys who worked on it with me: admins belowthebelt, MDCCXXIX, tester Kmcode and editorialist pkacprzak. Your suggestions and ideas were really useful. I hope I'll work with all of you again in the future :)

As this contest is called Easy it will not require complicated implementations or too hard ideas, but I'm quite sure that participants of almost all the levels will be able to find interesting problems.

Good luck and enjoy it!

And almost forgot about nice bonus: Top 5 beginners (1st year or 2nd year) will receive HackerEarth Tshirts.

UPD: contest starts in less than 2 hours
