Exposing Codeforces Cheating: A Tale of Two Submissions

Revision en1, by plankk, 2024-09-27 22:37:16

ompetitive programming is built on hard work and integrity[user:monocode], but sometimes, those values are compromised. Recently, in Codeforces Round 975 (Div. 2), two participants, Abou_3yad and monocode, were caught submitting nearly identical code for the same problem, raising concerns of plagiarism. Both are new to the platform, yet their actions cast a shadow over fair competition.

Here are the suspicious submissions:

AhmedIbrahim24010's submission : [submission:https://mirror.codeforces.com/contest/2019/submission/283235393] monocode's submission : [submission:https://mirror.codeforces.com/contest/2019/submission/283213538]

approximately the same code structure but one of them changed the variable's names, what a genius! ** While struggling as a beginner is normal, copying solutions defeats the purpose of competitive programming.** ****
