This blog is about the upcoming Indian ICPC Prelims/Regionals, whose registration deadline is close approaching (haven't received any mails from the sites yet, even after the registrations being open for a week now). I'll try to keep this blog updated, let me know if there are any changes to be made.

Anyone finding the onsite dates of Mathura regional weird(18-19th March)? I am not too sure how this will work as even after the prelims is over, it will take at least 2-3 days for proper plag check and declaration of results. How do they expect the teams to make proper travel arrangements in such a short time.
Edit: They changed the dates of the prelims and the regionals now, so all is good.
17th/18th , it is date for preliminary/online round.
nvm , it seems they changed it to 12th around which time many participants might be off to homes

Edit: Would the fees for the prelims be INR 1000 in total, or for each regional? The prior would make sense, but last year I think they had separate fees for each regional prelims.

Mathura should extend the deadline, and postpone its regionals too! Imagine people getting into regionals, but unable to reach the site because they couldn't get a damn train ticket. xD.

I think they have removed that statement now, it only mentions Mathura.
If I'm not mistaken its given here now, it also has the updated dates so I'm guessing it remains combined.
Do anyone know where to submit Mathura payment screenshot? Nowhere it is showing. And there is only form to register for that which only ask team member name and asking for 4 members and every field is compulsory.

But this is mentioned on mathuara regional site Please note that there will be a single preliminary online contest for all the three regions of India i.e. Amritapuri, Gwalior-Pune and Kanpur and it will held on 18 March, 2023 (02:00 PM – 04:00 PM IST). Ok, I've actually mailed the director of amrita. He said, the cancellation can be done and he has processed my request to the department. I replied to his asking the procedure, but no reply yet.

Has anyone found out when Gwalior-Pune would be happening? The date is coming close and there is no information whether it would happen in the first place or not.
Amritapuri ICPC management is the worst. They have a website for ICPC which serves the only purpose of directing to the payments link. I mean, why do they have a website if it doesn't even mention the date and time of the preliminary and regional contests? All they care about is us paying the money. Also, they have a habit of playing with the preliminary contest dates. It happened in 2021, it happened in 2022 and it is happening now. How can they change the contest dates after receiving registrations? What if people won't be able to attend the contest on changed dates?

I think the last time Kharagpur ICPC happened was in 2019, so I don't think it would happen this time. Gwalior should happen though, I've mailed them regarding prelim dates.

Does anyone counted number of unique colleges this year? last year it was around 204.
For the Amritapuri regionals, you can check their spreadsheet which contains the registered teams in the prelims. I checked the unique values in the Colleges column, and it showed 517. This might be a bit inaccurate but it is close enough to the actual count, so you can assume about 500.
Edit: The number of unique colleges for Amritapuri is less than 270, check the comment below.

Interesting, I saw your blog and even that list contains duplicates(like IIT Kanpur is mentioned twice). So the total number of colleges is actually less than 270, it's just mentioned differently multiple times in the spreadsheet. Thanks for the info.

270 teams have registered for the Amritapuri site. The most number of registered teams is 58 from IIT Patna. You can see the full list sorted in descending order according to the number of registered teams from here. Here is the Go code I used for generating this list.

That were the original dates, it got preponed to April 1-2 so as to avoid a clash with Mathura regionals

The dates are given here, its on april 1st. It was april 7th before. No idea when the results would come out, it should be available on their website when it does though.

By seeing no. Of slots in kanpur — mathura regionals in 2020 i guess it's should be around 130-140.

Yep its on 1st and 2nd of April. How it worked last year was, there was a mock round on the first day to get acquainted with the setup and the actual contest was on the second day.

yes,on top , a url will be showing to you, the no. after team/ is your team id if you found it plz reply. steps--> 1. go to icpc official site 2. open your team 3. then select on team name of regional section, there will be two sections prem and regional, sleect regional team name, then on top see url , the last no. will be team id
