I am saying for those who are doing this kind of cheating, the whole world is there for stealing scams, you go there, don't come here to cheat us. Each of our points is hard earned, behind each point there is a story of many sleepless nights, a story of many disappointments. When I see a person who has not solved a problem in a year submits three or four problems during the contest time, then the will to fight is gone. Your stealing points will not be of any use in your life, rather adding some frustration in our life.

I strongly believe that the time of hacks has come to an end. It is only used by cheaters nowadays.
If I was able to check correctly, today we had zero hacks and zero solutions to fail system testing. And, as it seems, with strong pretests the contest is still ok.
The hacks system has been designed in 2010-ish, when the image-to-text technologies were way less efficient. Nowadays if someone is able to write any solution that passes pretests, they would get access to all room's solutions for the problem and can easily convert those into text to be distributed. It makes cheating easier and less trivial to be detected.
I know that many people love hacks and advocate for them to stay in place, but definitely leaving them within coding phase is not an option anymore.
I heard a story when someone distributed a solution that would fail in the hacking phase and many people copied it, and then in hacking phase he hacked all of them lmao!

Totally agreed. I think having an independent hacking phase after the coding phase (aka TopCoder style) is strictly better. It allows hacking of unsolved problems, too.
(BTW I think pretests can be weaker if we separate the hacking phase. Nowadays in-contest hacks are basically non-existent and pretests are almost equivalent to final tests, which allows "keep submitting until AC" style solving.)

I mean cheating is bad and we all know it, right? and exposing these cheaters to the public will do anything? Maybe you can just divert your time and give me some ideas on how we can implement an anti-cheat system in Codeforce and ping MIKE with such idea's, so he might think about it. That will be more helpful.
May be It'll sound bad but one possible solution is to don't allow anybody to change the tabs and keeping the contest in full screen, such that nobody can open other applications simultaneously, and one thing that will be painful but to disallow copy and pasting in contests , these all features are possible because I attempted a contest in such environment.
many will argue that templates wont be in action but it will be same for everybody, I think implementing these wont terminate cheating compleltely because of smartphones but still imo it can help to some extent.
But it won't be a feasible solution as most people use templates or code editors during contest.

1. Block the account for 5 contests/1 per month on the first offense and permanently ban thereafter.
2. Remove the hacking solution during contests; have open hacking after the contest ends.
3. Give the option to report the account with proof like Leetcode.

Hello! I have not solved problem E in yesterday's round, and my solution for problem D is something I have written on my own, generated by my own idea. I do not participate in any cheating activities done by mass leakers, neither do I have the intention of doing so as a high schooler who actively participates in coding olympiads and wants to improve. The only time I have participated in the action of sending codes written by others, was when I have sent codes written by my friends, afraid of losing rating(which can be seen by the skipped codes in my profile, AND which is the reason I was a pupil in the previous round), for which I have already been punished and won't do ever again. I certainly do know that there are a bunch of mass leaks during rounds, but I am not a person who takes part in them.

Hello, I'm not sure why I was flagged by you for cheating, but I didn't do so. I think my code for E is pretty unique, so I assume my solution for D is similar to others? Not sure why that would be, but out of the thousands of submissions there's bound to be similarities for no reason. I've never sent any of my code to others and I just started participating in contests because it's now the summer and I can actually compete in the contests which are in the morning for me. I've also reached the USACO Platinum division, so if you are concerned that I shouldn't be able to reach D/E, I definitely can, and you shouldn't be accusing people based off that anyways. I understand there are a lot of leaks during the contest, but I never have and never will participate in them. Also, I would appreciate it if you removed the phrase "confirmed cheaters" and replace it with something like "potential cheaters", because you clearly don't know when people are actually cheating and when they aren't.

these type of incident happen in my college and all our college student really shamed the person who did this. And, after that he stopped doing that, I think IIT bhu student don't have any integrity. Not a single comment from any student of IIT bhu regarding this. You all had senior like demorlizer who eveyone respects and admire. Don't spoil their legacy.
Honestly tired of these cheaters :) But only way to not get affected by them is rise above them.
The saddest part is that even 5th problem in Div (1+2) is being used by cheaters. Basically it has became quite hard for people to become CM and master. Imagine how hard it must be now to become pupil, specialist or expert. I was really surprised by that solve count of C, D and E last contest. And guess what my rating became 1899 after that contest. Missed becoming CM by 1 rating.
Vartika_foo also cheated in the div(1+2) round. 268198897 and 268202412 these are the two submissions for problem D in two languages python and c++ . They have added 2 random functions that arent even called to avoid plagiarism. The user also has previous history of skipped submissions and also commented that they wont repeat it again. The solution matches exactly from the solution in the google drive that was being circulated during the contest.

The functions are there because I used them in some other problem of the same contest and forgot to delete them. People could have locked their problems, copied others' solutions, and circulated them quickly. I don't want to be rude, but people can have similar ideas, and d is a dp problem; dp problems usually have very similar approaches. I don't know what's wrong with that. I submitted it again in C++ after Python because Python gave runtime errors, and sometimes, in c or d, Python doesn't work perfectly. Both of them are the same codes. I resubmitted it to resolve the runtime error issue, which I think is acceptable. Besides that, I don't want to indulge in any fight so that I will leave this matter here only. I believe code forces moderators will do their job.

I would like to see a stricter verification while opening a new account. Maybe codeforces can start using PHONE NUMBER VERIFICATION or some similar strong measure for verification of ids. This way, it will be harder to make alts, which in turn will make it harder for cheaters to re participate once banned. It will also ensure that only serious people join codeforces.

In India, decent CP rating (CF, Leetcode, etc) increases your chance to get called for online interview or having good salary. Probably, people that believes they are good at software engineering are feeling unfair with this fact. They take whatever it takes to get a job with high salary.
