what if we just force them to stay in prison until they solve a super hard $$$3500$$$-rated codeforces IQ problem? Maybe the worst criminals would have to solve a $$$3500$$$-rated IQ problem, but the more tame ones would only have to do like a $$$3000$$$-rated problem. This could make it easier for smarter criminals to get out of prison so that they can continue contributing to society. For the most part, unfortunately, dumber criminals are pretty much a lost cause. Solving a $$$3500$$$-rated IQ problem is no easy task, of course. It might take years for the average criminal to solve one.

    Yes, that could be the case. Unfortunately, it might be the case that a 145+ IQ person could solve it in like a month or two, but a 130 IQ person would take years, and there would be no shot for a 120 IQ person. As the IQ gets lower and lower, the time to solve gets exponentially longer. That just doesn't seem so fair to most criminals, so the problem-assigning system might need to be more advanced.

    If we are talking about hitler-esque sort of people, then yes. If we are talking about Wolf-of-Wallstreet-esque sort of people, then no. I think that there are more Leonardo DiCaprios out there than Hitlers, so the net impact on society would probably be positive.

It's not like solving a problem in 2 hours. Imagine living for several years, in the hope that you could solve one single CP problem within a time limit.
