I'm sure Reyna will be in top-5 :)
And of course Mohammad Nematollahi will make it(Deemo)
After a lot of thinking (choosing randomly), here are my predictions:
1) matthew99
2) Reyna
3) Benq
4) yutaka1999
5) jiaqiyang
1st place — unrated new user registered just an hour ago
the rest — I'll go with max. CF rating order here
Mine are:
1) matthew99
2) yutaka1999
3) Reyna
4) Benq
5) voidmax
INF % MOD) TooNewbie :P
INF = MOD+1 :D
hmm, but matthew99 is already 1. I think INF = k*MOD :P
Sorry, I don't use your template :D
Maybe MOD > INF :D
I think you are doing it wrong. How can a modulo be greater than INF? You better fix that before going for the IOI :P
MOD = INF + 1
Good luck on IOI TooNewbie !
Replace me with C_SUNSHINE, as he scored higher than me on nearly all the team selection tests. I just hope to make top 25 ...
"just"
_/-^-\_
ITDOI and Reyna !
1-matthew99
2,3-Reyna,Random Chinese Guy
4,5- jiaqiyang,yutaka1999,Deemo
I would like to see a prediction without matthew99 being first :P
I'll do 100 push ups if I_Love_Tina doesn't get 600.
If I'll be in top 5 I'll do as many push-ups as much points I'll get.
Yeah, Moldova is going to get it's first gold this year! Go reality!
Okay, so did you already do 100 push-ups?
I'm doing them right now.
video or it didn't happen
1 _ chinese guy 2 _ chinese guy 3 _ chinese guy 4 _ chinese guy 5 _ japanese guy ( also asian :3 )
Yes, this can be the random Chinese guy.
day1 proved you're right. what will happen in day2?
There will not be any shitty marathon task, so he will get perfect score beating yutaka.
Attila Gáspár may make perfect score aswell, based on today's performance. Also gold medalist on IMO too.
seems yutaka wins lol
99
99 problems
My prediction:
1 matthew99
2 yutaka1999
3 C_SUNSHINE
4 Reyna
5 Satoru Kawaharai
8-12 pacu
10-15 zscoder
15-30 demon1999
matthew99 (codeforces LGM) and yutaka1999 (Atcoder Target) are legends, but Matthew beats in JOI Spring (or parallel) Contest. Satoru is very good at OI contest, and he got APIO 2nd. Probably he doesn't have Codeforces account (his Atcoder account is "goto").
UPD: My prediction of 3rd and 4th changed. Both are very strong, but I think that C_SUNSHINE is little bit stronger.
I'm wondering that why you don't mention Deemo in top 10 I am certain that he will amaze you all!
Just P_Nyagolov and TooNewbie.
and maybe matthew99 and Reyna.
and yutaka1999 as a random japanese guy
Exactly :)
My prediction:
1) yutaka1999: 2704 + 3364 = 6068
2) matthew99: 3100 + 2889 = 5989
3) Reyna: 2771 + 2960 = 5731
4) geniucos: 2762 + 2769 = 5531
5) jiaqiyang: 2671 + 2669 = 5340
I calculated by [The maximum Codeforces rating] + [The maximum AtCoder rating].
geniucos, Reyna, matthew99, Deemo and yutaka1999 in any order. But I guess there will be at least two people from China, as usual.
Yes, i think this year geniucos is going to be in top 5, may be he lost some points on codeforces' last contests, but he knows a lot of things. He is really a powerful contestant!
In RuhanHabibPro, We trust.
Oh my god! They are only school students and their ratings are so high
In persian Burning ass means jealous! :) (( not exactly jealous! ))
and you are really Burning ass :D
Yes, but only preschool kids use that :/.
:)
C_SUNSHINE is really strong. I think he can beat matthew99 again.
Yes, he can
...
~13-15. MadNick (his performance on IOI contests much better than on ACM contests)
I don't think that demon1999 will be in top-20 :)
Sorry for my poor prediction. All are incorrect, except demon1999 :)
I think C_SUNSHINE and yutaka1999 are most likely to be the champion.
My prediction isn't unfounded. In fact, it's based on my knowledge of them.
Speaking of C_SUNSHINE, he is one of my best friends and I know a lot about him. Winning the Tsinghua University Training(as introduced in my post here. Also getting full score on all USACO online contests, also nearly all contests in the camp. He's awarded "winner of all things" of this. I think his calmness is gold, preventing him from performing too bad in a contest, and it's quite my opposite(so you can see how my recent Codeforces results fluctuate).
I don't know much about yutaka1999 himself. In fact, I never met him in person, not even chatted with him online, but as everybody knows he is a three-time IOI gold medalist and has an extremely high rating on Atcoder(on which I never did well). There's actually an interesting story. I saw him getting a good result on one of the recent SRMs by solving the hard problem, which jqdai0815 didn't manage to solve during the contest. Just being curious I read its statements and found a solution. However, after implementing it I found my solution wrong because of a tiny but unfixable issue. After that, I never had any idea and I had to read other people's solutions to solve it. By contrast, it's really impressive how yutaka1999 solved it during the contest. As for JOI, I don't think he took it seriously. Also, two of my AC solutions were actually incorrect. I don't think I can take the credit.
1.xumingkuan 2.matthew99 3.C_SUNSHINE 4.jiaqiyang 5.consecutivelimit
This is by far the funniest prediction: I think that these five are the only Chinese contestants:)) What's even more, it sounds feasible, too.
Yeah xumingkuan is my schoolmate so I wish he can win the title. I am also confident about other Chinese contestants,I wish they can do great jobs:D
Perhaps next year he will predict you to be the champion :)
You are going to be in top 5, hopefully there won't be stupid geometry like today at BOI. Do you like geometry? Does somedy like computational geometry at all?
No, biggest part of geometry is shit, especially the one at BOI, please somebody change comisia.
Yeah right.
But JOI Open Contest 2017 Problem 2 is a good problem although it is a geometry problem, right?
There is a huge difference between the quality of japanese and moldovan problems.
1. _h_
2. yutaka1999
3. C_SUNSHINE
4. Reyna
5. matthew99
Why _h_? Is he so strong?
not as strong as kefaa ofc
Well i don't know anything about him but look at his rating it's crazy how it went up.
Well he's one of few (if not the only one?) IOI contestants that have a chance to make the GCJ 2017 finals.
He also won the Polis.. ahem Baltic Olympiad (BOI 2017).
That said, I personally think he'll just barely get gold. Maybe about 3-5 places above the cut.
Mine prediction: 1 — matthew99
2 — yutaka1999
3 — Reyna
4 — zscoder
5 — pacu
Vietnam IOI team will win 1 gold, 3 silvers.
I will work for WF if TKM doesn't get any IOI medals this year.
Ok, I changed my mind.
ranking.ioi2017.org/Ranking.html
This is a test round...
I think he knows that
looks like the chinese is better at sudoku? :P
Bruteforceman Nothing to say about him
My predictions for top 5 are as follow and beleave me this is true: geniucos He will be the first because he practices informatics from aa young age la from 4th or 5th grade and perfomrs really well at olympiads. I_Love_Tina He will be the second because he solved lots of problems on cf and other websites. At his full potential on cf he would be red. For the next 3 winners i am not sure how to sort them so i will put them just randomly. Rudy1444 Amazing solving abillities. Solved just around 400 problems but will already participate at IOI and is getting silver at BOI this year. There are very few people who become violet just from 400 problems. babin Nobody beleaved that he will get to IOI. Clasified 3rd in Moldova. Don't know what to expect from him. Kusika Also i don't have any idea how he became so good. Solved on cf only 150 problems and on other websites very few problems. Crazy solving abilities just as other contestants. Good luck to them. I'm sure this is the corect listing!
Are you sure?
Well it's my country, so i beleave in them.
Silver at BOI guarantees top 5 at IOI.
Yes, you don't imagine how complicated is BOI, with geometry and hardcore math. :D
a contest where noobs like rudy69 have bronze is pretty much ez
wow, I didn't know IOI was pretty much ez.
It's a little surprising that so many people think xumingkuan will win the contest since his rating isn't as high as others.
But day1 contest turns out that they're right.
Looking forward to the upcoming day2 contest.
Let's wait and see what will happen.
He has only participated in two contests, and did very well in both of them (rank 1 in Div2, rank 12 in Div1). I think it's safe to say his codeforces rating is not indicative of his strength.
I agree with you. But his performance in Chinese Selection contest can not equal to matthew99 as well.
It's such a pity matthew99 didn't perform well in IOI. I have always been a fan of him.
are we looking at the same scoreboard? isn't he 3rd place? yutaka seems to be in a much better position IMO(well he did win the IMO right?).
leave my boy xuming alone, he's going all out on day2
GG already :)
Never wanna be the virtual champion in predictions again :(
Don't take it too seriously
I guess that yutaka1999 will win.
Pfff, based on what?
