I've just been tring the blog function,and then had 28 bad votes-_-||..I wanna know why..And what's "Contribution"?

Because that blogs on CF aren't used like personal private blogs. Every post is displayed in list of topics in right column, usually there are interesting topics about programming. And it becomes annoying when each new one user here tries to use it wrong.
