What are your hobbies outside of competitive programming?

Just curious as to what you guys like to do. Personally, I enjoy playing go/chess and a variety of other games, and listening to music that has 0 correlation with my actual life. (hmu if you want to play go or chess)

  1. Sports: table tennis, badminton, football

  2. Escape rooms (apparently I visit Polish site with escape rooms database more often than any other website even though basically nothing is changing there)

  3. Video games. Recently I got severely addicted to Rocket League (if anyone here plays it as well hit me up on Steam (I'm Swistakk there as well)), but I am devoted fan of Captain Claw as well (2D platform game from 1997)

  4. Listening to Taylor Swift

  5. Various kind of competitive puzzles, for example like solving sudoku as fast as possible but other kinds (kakuro, tapa, akari, hashi and many many more), since sudoku is hella boring (I'm not that good though, but I really enjoy them)

1) Pocket Legends

Been playing on off for a few year.

I have the username "thebatbearx" which is a nooby seeming username, but when im on my phone I destroy unsuspecting pvpers. Like some people attack me for no reason other than my noob seeming get up (I often take off my "pro" gear and put on uglier outfits to bait people) and get stomped.

Also, I once effectively 1v2 some skrubs (who thought they were so cool because they were teaming) by hiding behind indestrucitble obstacles (trees lol) to regen my health/buffs while they kept coming at me one at a time.

Haha, good days. I quit again though.

          I don't really like lying so i rarely lie, and i'm straight so it makes sense that i would like boy bands more than girl bands xxD

          ps: that doesn't mean that i don't like girl bands, i just prefer boy bands and solo female singers xxD

Lately I enjoy CTF competitions just as much as cp ones. It's just that community is not as big as cp for now. I would totally suggest it to anybody here.

  • First and foremost, spending time with my cat (pictured). Not sure if it counts as a hobby.
  • Sports: Weightlifting, playing and watching basketball. Sometimes I try to run.
  • Games: Currently lots of Rocket League and Puyo Puyo. I also enjoy single-player stealth games; I'm a big fan of the Metal Gear series and recently have been playing through The Last of Us.
  • Outdoors: Camping, hiking, backpacking, photography. Less of this since moving away from California to New York City a couple months ago.
  • I'm learning how to make espresso right now after recently obtaining the necessary equipment and some books.
  • Music: Mostly hip hop, indie rock, indie pop. My most listened-to artists on Spotify from last 6 months: Glass Animals, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Kanye West, Arctic Monkeys, Young the Giant, alt-J, Foster The People.

  1. Playing go(Yes, the go in AlphaGo, I learnt it since I was 5 years old, and I believe now I'm just a few steps away to become a professional player. However, I'm now much more into cp now XD)
  2. Dota2 (Why not?)
  3. Listening to music(mostly jazz hip hop)
  4. Watching animes(I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Real great animes :)
  5. Reading books (mostly literary/philosophic books, some of which helped a lot through the years
