I think Mike sometimes helps problem testers test their rounds and gives feedback regarding difficulty ... (He did participate in the testing of my round too). So, he indeed does participate in Codeforces rounds, just not officially

people participate to improve their skills in coding and such topics ...HE is the creator of this platform and Polygon..I don't think he needs to prove any other thing. PLUS, he is involved with VOVUH in making some great DIV3 contests..I guess you will understand.
