if there is a userscript/something else to remove "standings" button while ur writing contest not to spend time checking if u are higher/lower than you friends? i didn't find anything in the google, my willpower is too low to ignore "standings" button.

oh, i forgot about m2, im gonna use it too, thanks, but as i remember i cant see how many people solved problem on task list page(in case problem char is hard and problem char + 1 is easy)?
It's true. Also you can only watch your own verdicts and can't hack. So this is as simple as possible, so it's non-distracting.
It doesn't only waste your time, but it also makes you nervous (especially if a newbie friend is higher than you at the moment you checked, or your rank is much higher than usual).
Actually, I had the same problem but I didn't realize it was a problem until I stopped doing it and noticed the difference. Try participating in virtual contests once a day without checking the standings once. I tried this and it worked.
Note: Sometimes you may want to know which problem is solved more (like when you find problem C is so hard so you want to check if problem D is solved more), find out using the dashboard not the standings.
