By Hepic_Antony_Skarlatos, 10 years ago, In English

That post is just from curiosity and to check my progress :D . I searched before if there are relative posts, but I did not find anything,so I took the courage to write a post like that.

My question goes for people that are or was "red" here or in other site. So, what was your age when you became first time red?? There are red programmers with age of 19 and down,or there are not so young "red"??

Thank you for your time, and sorry if my english are not so clear :D

If I am not mistaken, most obvious example is that of tourist who became red few years before 19. Am I right?

UPD I see, he became red here in 2011 while he was born in 1994. He became read at TopCoder in 2008.

This topic will show you that lot of guys are red at much younger age.

Also, the number of reds is increasing, because the number of users in total (and therefore the sum of all ratings) is increasing. So it's not as awesome to be red than it was a year ago, for example.

That is just not true. This is the same as saying hey I am awesome because I finished second in five guys competition. Only percentage matters.

Maybe you're okay with being 100,000-th out of a million, because it's in the top 10%, but I'm not, because it means there are still many people before me. There is hardly any achievement in beating many poor coders, but there's a lot in beating many good ones.

A great example is TCO finals. Would you say that finishing for example 5th out of 8 best over the whole TCO is not awesome?

With my post I did not want to find the youngest red programmer. I wanted to see the age of ALL red programmers. Anyway, the post was just for curiosity. Thank you all for your time and for your replies :D
