Congratulations to Geothermal for winning Meta Hacker Cup 2025!

On Saturday, 18 October, the final and only round of Meta Hacker Cup 2025 was held. Geothermal managed to AK the contest in 35 minutes and 35 seconds with a total penalty time of 1:28:26. Not only is an AK of the final round incredibly rare, but Geothermal also achieved it at record speed.

I have heard that next year, submissions will continue to be clarification-based. They will also introduce a new rule not to release Round 1 results before Round 3 is concluded. I wonder how this would change the meta.

Rumours say that next year they’ll introduce a new submission method: print your code and outputs and mail them to the Meta headquarters. Can you confirm it?

It sounds like a big step toward improving participants' experience; in fact, postal delivery is probably much more reliable and optimized than the current Meta Hacker Cup system.

I respectfully and confidently claim the top title, as I am completely sure about everybody else above me in the standings getting FST, although We will never know :(

Lol i thought jiangly was the next goat but here we have an underdog who comes out of nowhere and destroys the most famous legendary coders easily haha.

Bruh do you understand how many followers jiangly, tourist etc have. It's more than 40,000. If you believe the codeforces metrics are real then they are the brad pitt and tom cruise of competitive programming.

Geothermal was the only one who could compete with tourist in terms of speed of solving easy problems back when I used to follow the contests closely. Of course there could be others (and there were probably others too), but I was always a fan of Geo especially coz of his solution streams and screencasts. So it is not a surprise at all that Geothermal won this round, which according to many was an easy round. Definitely not an underdog if you've seen his speed in past div2 contests. More like a favorite for these rounds.

I was literally about to win this, thought it was just round 1 so I solved only 3 anyway it doesn’t matter, results will never be published otherwise I’d be the winner.
