Hello, everybody.

At this point we have already decided on the date of Codeforces Beta Round#5: it's Saturday, March 20. The exact time is still unknown. I do want to find the best time suitable for most participants. Please, express your ideas in the comments - of course, you should not come up with the time that suits only you, but suggest the most suitable time for the majority.

Wish you high rating,
MikeMirzayanov

UPD.  Thanks to everybody who wrote comments - I've read them all. The venture proved to be useful. Without your help, I wouldn't have been able to take into consideration all those factors which can affect the number of participants.  After much thought, I've made a decision to schedule the round for 19:00 (Moscow time) - I think this option is convenient for most users of the site. It does not mean that we will not experiment with time in future - we will try morning contests, but I can't promise about 5:00:).

If we want to choose sometime so most people don't stay up much in the mid-night, 14:30 GMT might be good as it's 6:30 in Pacific time and 23:30 in Tokyo. But it overlaps with TCHS Finals, so probably you can choose 13:00 GMT which might not be a good time for some American/Canadians, or 18:00 which might not be good for some Asians.

Also COCI, which will be held 14:00 GMT / UTC should be taken into account.

I think it makes sense to have this round at a significantly different time from previous ones.

Maybe 9:00 MSK = 7:00 most of Europe = 6:00 U.K. = 2:00 US East Coast = 23:00 US West Coast = 13:00 in China = 15:00 in Japan?

It seems to be terribly inconvenient for US East Coast, but for others it looks OK.

It also seems to not overlap (and not even come close) with other contests.

Hi, Mike:
Can you make a Calendar like Google Calendar, thus everybody can subscribe and follow and nobody will miss it.

The settled time will overlap with the TCHS finals and COCI, isn't it ?
